AAAA’s - American Association of Advertising Agencies - Recognizes and Supports the ADM
From a recent letter from the AAAA’s to it’s members, copied to the ADM:
New Advertising Media Associations Formed
As more new and emerging media seek to become advertising-supported, relevant media trade associations are forming to standardize creative ad units and metrics and set other guidelines. AAAA works closely with many of these trade associations to develop industry-supported guidelines.
The following includes a few of the recently announced new groups, as well as other established ones:
• Association of Downloadable Media (ADM), www.downloadablemedia.org
• Cinema Advertising Council, www.cinemaadcouncil.org
• CTIA—The Wireless Association, www.ctia.org
• Electronic Retailing Association (ERA), www.retailing.org
• Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), www.iab.net
• International Digital Enterprise Alliance (IdeAlliance), www.idealliance.org
• Mobile Marketing Association, www.mmaglobal.com
• Online Lead Generation Association, www.olgassociation.org
• Online Publishers Association (OPA), www.online-publishers.org
• Out-of-Home Video Advertising Bureau (OVAB), www.ovab.org
• Web Analytics Association, www.webanalyticsassociation.org
• Word of Mouth Marketing Association, www.womma.org

This is an important step for new media producers. I hope we can quickly build on this to start coming up with a series of recommended standards that we can use to promote our shows’ numbers and stats to potential and current advertisers.
That’s great. ADM is picking up steam!
